  • Where do I get my API key?

    Your API key is obtained when you sign up for a UniCloud. There, you will get access to 100 free credits after signed up to use at your discretion

  • Is there a tutorial that will help me get the API key easily?

    Yes, once you log in, you’ll see a tutorial on the main dashboard. It’s a 1-2 min. video that will walk you through everything

  • What do you mean exactly when you say UniDoc's licenses are "perpetual?"

    It means that the version you originally purchased will be valid forever. You won’t be automatically migrated and you can choose which version is best for you based on your use case. It should also be noted that one year of updates is included with all the packages.

  • I want to see more of the source code in order to validate that UniDoc is the right choice. What do I do?

    Send us an email at [email protected], and tell us the specific use case you’re interested in solving. We’ll do our best to provide all the relevant documentation specific to your request. For all 3 products, we’ve also made it easy for you to access the source code yourself - it’s just $1000 more a year (both first year and each year after) over the Business Standard License.

  • I don't see the specific feature available I'm looking for to solve my use case. Did I miss something?

    Probably not. But we have two main solutions that can help: (1) on our home page, you’ll find a section called “Peer-Contributed Requests,” where you can submit your feature request to the broader Dev community. You and your peers can then vote on which features UniDoc should prioritize creating for the future, and get instant feedback when in production; (2) submit an email to [email protected] and we’ll triage production based on perceived priority and our team’s availability

  • UniDoc is just too expensive. Is there another option?

    One other option to consider is our Pay-As-You-Go solution, which allows you access the same functionality as a Business Standard license without paying the 1st year and subsequent annual subscription fees. Simply pay only for what you need. Check it out to see if it’s right for you

  • How do I ensure that UniDoc has all the proper security measures in place, both now and for the future?

    Every release of our libraries is automatically tested against known vulnerabilities and do not pass unless everything is remediated. All changes are carefully reviewed by our team

  • How can I be sure that I'll have quality Support if I purchase a UniDoc license?

    Two ideas come to mind here: (1) visit our Issues tab in GitHub for each product we have (e.g., UniPDF) and check out how quickly we respond to general concerns and more serious complications. There, you’ll also have visibility into seeing what some of your colleagues also have questions with so you can feel comfortable enough before buying a license; (2) send us an email at [email protected] and help us understand what specifically we can help you with to ease your concerns

  • What are the differences between the Platinum and Gold subscriptions?

    With the Platinum subscription, you gain additional benefits, including legal protection and priority support, which are not available in the Gold plan. Specifically, under the Platinum plan:

    • We are willing to sign your company’s Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), ensuring confidentiality for your business needs.
    • We offer the option to review and potentially modify our End User License Agreement (EULA) to align with your company’s legal requirements and requests.
    • You also receive priority support, meaning your requests and inquiries will be handled with higher priority compared to the Gold subscription.

    In contrast, the Gold subscription does not include these legal provisions or priority support. While it provides all the standard features and support, it does not extend to signing NDAs, making changes to our EULA, or offering priority support.

  • Can you confirm whether the data processed with an offline license remains secure and that your company does not have access to it?

    No matter which license our clients are using, we do not upload, store, or access their documents. All documents are processed locally on the client’s system, and they are not stored anywhere that we could access. This ensures that your data remains fully secure and under your control at all times

  • Where can I see Outputs of code I want to run?

    A few ways: (1) sign up for a UniCloud where you’ll get access to 100 free credits; or (23) check out our Examples pages, where we’re beginning to add high quality, actual Outputs from our own clients to reflect the example code given

  • I don't think your Documentation or Examples sections are comprehensive enough for what I need. Is there anything I can do?

    Send us an email at [email protected], and tell us what you’re specifically looking to do. Currently, we’re in the process of building out our Documentation more and even our Examples to give you more confidence and options at the point of purchase. There may be something we have that we can give you, but that we haven’t put on the website just yet. Just ask :)

  • Do I need to license my test servers?

    No, only production servers count. You can have as many testing and staging servers as you wish

  • What happens if I want to cancel?

    Just send us an email at [email protected]. Once we receive that we will cancel your subscription immediately. From that point on, you can still use the latest version of the product for which you were eligible. However, if you want to get updates in the future you need to repurchase

  • Where can I find your End User License Agreement (EULA)?

    Simply go to UniDoc EULA. Please note that if you would like to make changes to the EULA, it is possible, however you must subscribe to one of our Enterprise Level 3 packages for any given product. Even then, if you’d like to customize it further, there is a EULA reviewing/processing fee as we need to get our lawyers involved. The fee varies depending on the scope of changes required.
